Supporting children and young people with disabilities requires a combination of skill and attributes. We understand that this is why it is essential for us to have a strict screening and selection criteria. Through liaising with children and families we have come up with some key qualities we are looking for when recruiting support staff:
Support workers are required to have provided two professional references and an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check to ensure they are suitable to work with children.
They will be provided with an ID card with the company’s name and contact information as well as workers name and photo. They also receive a staff handbook containing the rules and regulations they need to follow.
